I am a lawyer and a social worker and a social activist practising in one of Delhi's district courts i.e New Delhi Courts. There is so much to say but I lack energy and command over thought and pen.I'd share with you my experience and observation as lawyer here! Could I have gathered so much honey if I had'nt taken so many bites! Would I be doing justice to myself by keeping the mum. What my heart has undergone I'll keep capturing. My pen and ink I shall keep nurturing.

CJI may be a fangless serpent as called by Karnatak High Court judge & there may be lack of accountability in higher judiciary as alleged by Justice D.V. Shylendra Kumar of Karnatak High Court but making lawyers & litigants watch dogs & blood hounds over judges & pinning hope on politicians shows his poor knowledge of state of affairs and insight. The whole system is playing a balancing act with deep seated powerful corrupting people wielding tremendous clout, infiltrating all institutions and arms of governance and who are beneficiaries of corruption disorder and are sustained by it. BAR has outlived its purpose, has become a cartel. I may reveal stunning facts. CJI is no harbinger. He is just another come and go man, neither better nor the worse.
NUISANCE OF COMMONERS SAY AN ACCUSED SHOULD BE PUNISHED BEFORE HE IS PRONOUNCED GUILTY. TAKE THE CASES OF HEADLEY AND KASAB. LAW TAKES ITS COURSE. DO U KNOW THERE IS A THRIVING BLACK MARKET of OWNING UP OTHER PEOPLE'S CRIME. LAW HAS TAKEN CARE OF PROBABILITY OF SUCH EVENTS. INTER ALIA JUDICIAL CONSCIENCE MUST BE SATISFIED & GUILT OF ACCUSED ESTABLISHED IN MATERIAL PARTICLARS BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBTS. COURTS ARE VERY CAREFUL IN SCRUTINISING ADDMISSIONS OF APPROVERS. THERE CAN BE COMPLEXITIES OF POSSIBILITIES.
There are half a dozen full grow mulberry trees along side the front facade of the double storey New Chamber Complex. During seasons the luxuriant foliage over-rides the open balocony from where lawyers can feast on the sweet larger fruits as if off the banquet table. 19.10.09. it was usual for Tegi to greet Shah with broad smile, no sooner they came face to face, first time in the morning, invariably about the central hall balcony which a score of lawyers occupy with their tables desks and chairs sprawled cheek a jowl which function as their offices. Tegi owns one of the corner tables, facing gate No.6 - the low gate beautifully shaded by stunted mulberry trees like bougainvilleas, which during seasons produce little stunted sweet fruits hanging low within hands reach. There is half a dozen of full grown mulberry trees along side the front facade of the double storey New Chamber Complex. During seasons the luxuriant foliage over-rides the open balcony from where lawyers can feast on the sweet larger fruits as if off the banquet table. Mr. Yadav had his table next to Tegi. The two were in ionterncine cold war till Yadav changed his place of practise to
Whenever they sat togather side by side they sat like dolls, tense and listlesss. Tegi would salute and ask any acquaintences who happened to be around and would beseech him with utmost humility to sit beside him. "Do sit here and work here. This is your chair." He would say. For re-assurance and to dilute his tension and fear. After Yadav shifted he rented out the table to Mrs. Chodry, a potly lady approaching mid-age.She was and oath commissioner appointed by Delhi High Court. Tegi's tensions and worries took a u-turn. tegi became very punctual, work or no work as was his wont. More often than not he would sit glued to his site burried in his Nokia mobile phone playing games tense with some kind of anticipation. |
